In 2008 Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign. What our research showed, and what our experiences since then have reinforced, is that people respond positively to pinwheels, which represent childlike whimsy and lightheartedness and our vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy, and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities.

About Us

Many people are hurting because of an act of violence committed against them. Anyone -men, women, and children may be affected b violence. There is hope and restoration at the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children. Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children began in 1976 as the Waco Rape Crisis Center. It has grown into an umbrella agency with three programs, the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC), The Victims Center, and Prevention and Education- Offering many services to the hurting in our communities.

Advocacy is defined as any action that speaks in favor of, recommends, argues for a case, supports or defends or pleads on behalf of others. ACCVC provides this support for ALL victims of crime, FREE of charge in 6 Central Texas Counties.
